Are the  tone controls, bass, treble, etc, powerful at adding bass and treble to the overall tone?

Just asking before I probably pick one up.

The EQ section is great on these. Especially because you have the Bass and Treble which (I think) are post gain, and the 'pres' which is pre gain. So between those three you can get loads of sounds. I like to adjust the gain, treble and bass so that the pedal sounds like the amp but with more gain, then add in a bit of 'pres' which just gives you some extra bite. Very versatile and ideal thing to have on a recording session or when using a strange amp.

I’ve got a Paul Cochrane Timmy at the moment using it as an always on pedal,
What I love about the Timmy is it’s powerful tone shaped capabilities.

Treble and bass controls - yes.

The Presence control affects the amount of mids going into the drive section.
