    Oh no! Such an original artist. I started making my own Standard 8 movies after seeing Eraserhead. I didn't always 'get' his films but there was no doubting his artistry or his compelling imagery.

    Absolutely. Mulholland Drive is one of my favourite films and the fact I don't really understand what's going on has never bothered me.

    Oh damn - and relatively young too.

    We pretty much spent our entire twenties quoting from Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart and Twin Peaks - David Lynch was a true genius who managed to straddle the highest creative and commercial peaks (!).

    What a loss - RIP

    What a fantastic director. Eraserhead changed my life when it came out. So much that I've seen everything he's made. 

    As far as I know.
