L6 have already said nothing new at NAMM re Helix/, mfx wise.
Equally it’s January and folks have bills to pay..?
Possible I suppose maybe for one or two, but I think the sellers have just fallen out of love with them or just don't need them anymore.
Yes they have, you just don't know who to get to ask haha , I have a mate who works for a huge amp company, he was at namm, I asked him to find out, they said its coming but wouldn't say when
I think we can all pretty much take it for granted that Line 6 is working on a next generation Helix but no one, other than Line 6, knows when this will be ready to be released. And as it would be highly sensitive and their people will have signed strict NDAs, I just can't see your friend having access to any special info.

I also suspect marketing, positioning and timing are going to need very careful management by Line 6 who won't want to disenfranchise it's current loyal Helix customer base.  So I think it most likely that Line 6 will ease in any new product to run alongside Helix to gauge customer feedback.  And then, just like Helix, later on bring in variants.

No one outside of Line 6 knows of course, but I doubt if a Helix 2 will be announced within the next 12 months.  Unless of course Line 6 have a different type of product coming in the pipeline that isn't a Helix 2.
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

You're not listening to what I'm saying, they didn't disclose Andy details, he asked LINE 6 , is there a successor to the helix due out and they said yes , but wouldn't say when

Um, I think I read and understood exactly what you're saying. But whether he was asked or not, NDAs still apply, and Line 6 would place a complete veto on its people not to say anything at all, and they are absolutely serious about these. Even customer testing groups for firmware upgrades are prohibited from even mentioning they are in such groups.

However, it's pretty much a given that there will be, by whatever name, a Helix 2 although we don't know when. So all I'm simply saying is there's not really any new meaningful info here and even if something were said it wouldn't exactly be giving anything away.

I'm still not anticipating Line 6 will release a Helix 2 for at least 12-18mths, but hey, who knows. But if a Helix 2 is more imminent then that's great. I think we can all agree that's likely to be a pretty huge release in the digital modelling world.

Hopefully we can look forward to seeing smaller, lighter flagship units, more processing power across the range, and perhaps touch screens, tone capture, dedicated amp controls with real knobs, competitive pricing plus perhaps some unique Line 6 features eg some type of modular approach.  It will be interesting to see if Helix 2 might also have Line 6s own version of Boss' AIRD that matches/blends amp and cab models perhaps, as a helpful starting point, with the option to fully customise these for those wanting to deep dive.

Just pure speculation and wishful thinking of course. I don't have any inside info (NAMM or otherwise ).

So where are all these dirt cheap Helixes (Heli?) then?  =) I was thinking of going back to Helix after my GX-100 went faulty but I'm not seeing anything super tempting...

I'm looking at Andertons and the Helix Floor is now £1099 with a case. I'm sure it was a lot more a year or so ago.
If I wasn't happy with my current choice of modeller I'd be right there.
There again I VERY seldom gig so don't need what the Helix can do.

Post-Xmas was the best period. The reintroduction of fees on Ebay and people having a bit more money come Feb/March has pushed prices up a wee bit.

LT used for £550- £600 is great if you want an all-in-one amp and effects, or even just effects for your amp. I like some individual pedals so I’ve just got another HX Stomp, which based on versatility is my personal favourite in the Helix line-up. I’ve bought and sold a few but given the updates there’s always something new for me to try!

I think I paid £600 for a brand new LT a few years ago.
[edit] to be fair, that was 8 years ago (just checked)! I was thinking of getting the big one this time but 800 for a used one with no warranty feels a bit close to the current new prices.

God it was horrible being 100% right , even though you guys wrongly thought you were right or knew more than me hahahahahahahahaha
as pointed out, you have to know people, my mate that’s works for a classic amp maker asked line 6 guys at namm, I’ll reiterate it’s coming we just can’t tell you when, then a few month later look at the shiny new thing

No one at YGG would've hinted, much less told anyone at any other amp company about anything coming. And certainly not at NAMM.
