Recommended studio monitors to use with quad cortex.

What's Hot
I am particularly interested in the IK iloud MTM II’s but would welcome any strong recommendations for a pair of monitors To use with a quad cortex.
It is for a relatively small room to use in a desktop and won’t be too far from rear wall.
My guitar sound is mostly clean to breaking Americana/traditional rock/blues ( Free, Lizzy, etc).
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Guitar doesn't have a lot of low end, so you don't need anything with a huge bass driver.

Anything with 4" driver will be fine for guitar.
How much do you want to spend?

'My guitar sound is mostly clean to breaking Americana/traditional rock/blues ( Free, Lizzy, etc).'

Doesn't really impact the choice- you want to get a monitor that is as flat as possible.
The 'filter' you will use will be a cab emulation in the QC.

If you can afford it then the Neumann KH80 will be a good choice.
How much acoustic treatment do you have in the room?

    Thanks. No acoustic treatment.

I use Genelec 8010A's upstairs and 8020D's downstairs. Fairly affordable if bought used.

OK, definitely don't go big with the bass driver.

    Some choices:

    Dynaudio LYD5
    Genelec 8020
    Yamaha HS7

Something to be aware of - anything with a ribbon tweeter will have a (slightly) softer top end.

Thank you for all suggestions. Although I will be messing around in Logic the priority is not top notch hyper critical flat professional speakers but for the sound to be fairly accurate but in particular the guitar to sound good/(slightly flattering?) via the quad cortex which will in general be the audio interface.
They will also be used for pleasure listening of Spotify/i-tunes etc.
As I say it will be in a compact/not squared off small room on a desktop with minimal back clearance to the wall.
The reason for my interest in the IK Multimedia iloud MTM mark 2 is they have the ability to tailor exactly to a particular room and circumstances using ARC/dsp/digitall technology.

I have a Tannoy Gold 5 set pretty close to the wall on an untreated room and they sound pretty good. Under £500 a pair.

I can vouch for the Genelec 8020 in a small room. Whilst they don’t have DSP for EQ tailoring, they do have DIP switches for tweaking the low end response.

I really like my Yamaha HS7 set. More than loud enough for any home use, they sound good, the onboard amp doesn't seem to add any unwanted noise.

My Helix is permanently connected to my PC as my interface / soundcard etc so the HS7s are also my speakers for video conferencing / Netflix / gaming etc. They are great.

I have a pair of the older IK Multimedia iLoud speakers (without the dsp tailoring) and I've been quite happy with them (using them with a quad cortex too). The do have some switches on the back to tailor Lows and Highs, and they sound fairly close to my full volume rig

I have previously had Genelec and whilst I liked them I did find them a bit too brassy in that room.

The only issue with HS7s I would be concerned about is are they too big and probably gassy in a small, less than ideal room.

I have TV5’s. I’ve not been that impressed.

I find them quite bass heavy. Even when adjusted.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

Again useful to know. I am particularly concerned with any speakers being too bassy in a small confined room when placed close to rear wall.
