Help! Setting up a board with mono to amp and stereo to headphones/DAW – Simplifier X?

Hi gang,

Looking for help from anyone with a Simplifier X or who can guide me to a piece of equipment that will allow me to do what I'm after. I've spent so long looking at so many options but it feels like I'm always left with a question so getting some direct feedback from people who have this stuff would be awesome. Thank you in advance.

What I want:
Use my pedalboard to play mono through a real amp (Tone King Sky King – this has no effects loop) and also – with minimum faff – to play (and sometimes record) my stereo effects with headphones or into my audio interface, UA Volt 2.

My pedalboard has all the stereo effects at the end of the chain – Gen Loss mk2, Free the Tone FF-1Y, CXM reverb.

Is there some clever routing or tech that will let me do this easily? The simplifier X may do most of what I need. Maybe  s as follows ...

For headphones in stereo – pedalboard into Simplifier X with stereo effects in the effects loop and headphone out. Easy.

For recording in stereo – pedalboard into Simplifier X with stereo effects in the effects loop and XLR out to the Volt 2. Easy.

For amp in mono – how does this work without re doing wiring or taking Simplifier out of the chain? It has a 'thru' output which takes the input only and can go direct into an amp but I'm guessing this also removes the effects in the effects loop?

Any recommendations most gratefully received from a confused human.

Hoping someone will just come along to say, this is SO easy, just use this, you idiot!
