A fantastic comic actor who aged very well, it didn't seem to slow him down. He got up to a lot of antics in Last of the summer wine, I couldn't believe his age at the time. In the last couple of years I rewatched Man About the House and George and Mildred, and he was superb in them. Sad that he's gone, but a good age, I guess we'd all like to make 90.

I always thought that Homer Simpson was a cartoonish representation of Brian.

Just checked it out.  The first series was in 1976 which puts him at 44.

Didn't realise he was still around... loved George & Mildred. Rest in Peace Brian.

He always get associated with George and Mildred but he was a very good all round actor. He was excellent as one of the torturers in Ken Russell’s The Devils for instance.
