is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

All profits to good causes as well, which is a pretty neat touch

Wish they’d had that line up the last time that I thought I was seeing them for the last time.

Also Ozzy looks half dead so I’m not sure on this being good?

Yeah, Ozzy's not well at all, so I expect he'll be contributing rather than fully performing?

Sabbath I can take or leave, even though this will be a historic show.
But Metallica, Pantera, Gojira, Lamb of God and Mastodon all on the same bill?

He’s doing 2 sets according to this.

Osbourne left for a solo career in 1979” is an interesting take on it haha.

Pre sale to members of the Aston Villa fan club. So that's two tickets sold.

Given Ozzy's health, doing 2 back to back sets doesn't seem to be very sensible.

I'm assuming both sets relatively short and/or some guest vocals on the odd track so his total amount of singing probably isn't going to be huge.

I'm also assuming that this is going to be filmed and will pop up somewhere like Sky Arts.

Well they only played for about 45 minutes for their reunion in 1999, so if they top that they'll be doing well.

EDIT: I think it was 2001 (Milton Keynes)

Would be amazing, but every time I’ve had tickets to see Ozzy in the last 20 years he’s cancelled and I don’t have much faith in him performing this time round either

I saw them last on The End tour in 2017 at Leeds Arena. That should have been the end really, shouldn’t it? I’ve had the last 3 Ozzy gigs cancelled too.

Every single picture of Ozzy I've seen in recent years is him barely standing or walking with a cane. Also there were stories about Bill Ward being unable to play entire gig some decade ago. So I wonder how will it happen.

The last ever gig, honest…. but this time with Bill Ward on the drum stool.

And Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Alice In Chains… quite a lineup.  Haven’t looked at the ticket prices yet.

Yeah not sure just how much Ozzy you'll get at this but if it's his last gig then it will still be an event.
I mean, when was the last time Metallica was a support act, let alone third on the bill? That says something about how big this thing is going to be.
It's a helluva line up but unless they've got two stages (doubt it) then it's probably gonna be short sets much like the Freddie Mercury or Taylor Hawkins tributes.

Rumours are some tickets in the £750 range…

  • I was absolutely shocked by the line-up. I mean, that's quite a coup. However, as @DiscoStu says, how much of each band are we really going to get?

Despite Sharon Osbourne's hands being all over it, the whole thing so far does seem to involve all the right people for the right reasons, but we'll see how it pans out. I won't be chasing tickets myself. If you think Oasis was expensive, goodness only knows how much these will be for a one-off, once-in-a-lifetime gig.
