Saw Toto last night. Fantastic gig. Steve is now 78 and still rocking hard, but as tight as a monkeys arse. Alas his wireless bit the dust during Africa. Poor roady rushing about trying to fix stuff before appearing with a cable.
Another band off my bucket list.

    He actually forgot to introduce Greg P in Birmingham which was funny, Greg had to remind him at the end of the intro Shpeel and Beat It bit -  “and my name is?”

    My trading feedback

    is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

    THere's the original thread a few posts down from this, but I saw them in Birmingham on Sunday and this was my thoughts;

    Great show. Gutted they skipped Dying on my Feet which they played last night in Glasgow ffs, as Phillinganes is superb on that track.

    Other than that, just the perfect example of a supremely talented ensemble of musicians at the peak of their ability. Latest addition on the Keys, Dennis Atlas was particularly spiffing. Very impressed by him.

    Christopher Cross was banging too. Can’t believe the bloke is 73 and still sounds so good.

    Oh and I miss Simon Phillips on drums but Shannon Forest is very good indeed.

    EDIT: Luke is definitely only 67...still no less impressive.

    I regret missing the chance to see them about 35 years ago - Jeff was still with us back then - What a band and what fine musicians - Amongst the finest of the best when you look at who they have worked with and from such a young age

    He did say something about 1947 last night, but welshboyo is right and he was born in 1957 and is 67

    Not in London and he was introduced first and he bigged up his past achievements and they go way back to their teens

    There’s YouTube footage of the London gig and specifically the band intros- Joe says 1947 and you can see Luke mouthing 57 to him - hahah, I bet they do it to just wind each other up.

    some of the dialogue is the same but interspersed with Luke’s incredible humour!!

    Definitely up there as one of the great Toto gigs for me and there have been a few!!!
