Trade for Bartel Starwood
Up for grabs is this very special and rare Santa Cruz 000 '1929' model which was completed in 2009. The guitar’s rarity is due to the Koa coming from a 'blown' 90 year old Koa tree that was selected by Santa Cruz chief Richard Hoover and the guitar’s original owner. So the Koa is now 106 years old.
Standard model specifications can be found here:

The guitar has just been set up by Nick Mear of Mear & Gray. It is in fabulous condition even though it has been properly played-in and loved over its 16 years. It plays beautifully and responds to the lightest touch. Being a 12-fretter, the bridge is in the sweet spot and produces tone to die for.
You will notice from the images that the Koa goes from vibrant oranges to subtle browns. These images are a very accurate representation of the guitar under varying lighting conditions; it's beautiful.
A Gator case is provided which is far better that the original, unbranded, case that had loose hinges and was not fitted.
You are very welcome to audition the guitar.

Question though, the description you provide does not describe Koa, but Mahogany?
Have I missed something obvious?
@kittyfrisk this guitar is essentially a 1929 'Deluxe'. I have an email from Santa Cruz stating that the replacement value of the guitar, with everyday Koa, would be $12,000. This exceeds the cost of a standard model.
The age and rarity of the actual Koa used likely means a replacement value higher than $12,000. I have the guitar insured for £12k.
It looks a really gorgeous guitar & I wish you much luck in the sale, despite reckoning that you'll definitely regret selling it...
