I'm a long-time massive fan and Mrs O and I jumped at the chance to see him at The Garage on Highbury Corner on Friday night.  He was fecking brilliant and Los Straitjackets made a superb backing band.  He rolled back the years - at 75 he remains  ACAF and his voice is still magnificent.

I liked a lot of his material and with Rockpile and Dave Edmunds during that era - Collectively a bit of a Squeeze in there between them - In that good musicians good songs etc

If I had to be cruel to be kind I might suggest a different top/jacket to the one in the above pic

I saw him with Los Straitjackets a few years ago. Great evening. Support from a French rockabilly band, LS got part of the set to themselves and Nick in fine form. Glad they are still doing the rounds.

Always liked his music but I haven't seen him since Little Village played at Hammersmith Odeon.

Saw him play with Los Straitjackets last week at the Rockin Race Jamboree and he was great. Wasn't too familiar with his stuff but I'll be checking him out more now

  • Was at the Glasgow show on Sunday. Have wanted to see him for decades but always seem to miss him when he’s in town. I expected it to be good… me, my dad, my brother and his girlfriend were tripping over each other afterwards to say it was one of the greatest gigs we’ve ever seen. A really special night, one of those that stays with you for days afterwards.

Never realised Terry Williams was the drummer in Rockpile - Obviously big acclaim for his time with Dire Straits

Yep, I'd have to agree.  We thought he was fantastic and there was a great atmosphere throughout.
