As many of you will know, after running the business for 25 years I’ve decided to hang up my spray cans. The good news is that Manchester Guitar Tech is going to continue under new ownership.

Andy “Ozzy” Lister https://ozzyowl.co.uk/ will be taking the business forward and will continue supplying the same great products and the same level of service that you’ve come to expect.

Ozzy has plenty of ideas for taking things further so exciting times lie ahead!

Here we are on handover day just before we closed the van doors to move everything to its new home in the Peak District.

Good for you Steve, and good for me that I don't have to find a new nitro supplier!

Can't say I won't miss your fantastic service, but great that the torch is bring passed to Ozzy.

Wow - that's great news. When I heard you might be hanging up the spray gear I feared that might be the end for the company as a whole.

Best of luck to both of you for the future!

Best wishes for the future Steve and congrats on retirement. Your Sherwood Green was instrumental in me starting my own business and always loved dealing with you thanks to your generosity and professionalism. Enjoy what's next! Nice one Ozzy too :)

Great news and good luck to the both of you on your new ventures. I'm only a recent convert having done my first build last year but with a little guidance from Steve and using his excellent paints I think it came out pretty good. Admittedly the 2nd build was a stain and oil job but now I'm thinking of a 3rd build of stain and nitro satin.

Hey everyone. Long-time lurker here who’s finally decided to start posting. I’ve known Steve for over 10 years, and the service and customer care were always exceptional. I really hope the high standard continues under the new ownership—looking forward to seeing how things unfold.

Ozzy is excellent, it's definitely in good hands.

He did a incredible job of a full refret on my Gretsch.

    Happy retirement Steve.

To be honest I am left wondering how practical it is for me to drop off guitars in the middle of the peak district.
Since I am living 30 mins south west of Manchester, it was not an issue to get to yours, but driving to Bradwell/Hope and back would be 2.5-3.5 hours for both drop off and collection a different day. To be honest, it's not going to happen for me. 5-7 hours driving in total

Is there no plan for a drop off location in or near Manchester?
