Some of the 'tool' watches:
Was actually running out of storage a while back, so asked our resident leather craftsman Matthew if he would make a nice leather watch-roll for me. Am really chuffed with what he came up with:
And I have one of these on the way:
Snoopy - my mum's from the 70s! Mickey Mouse - one of an eBay job lot for £40 which I made my money back from (think it's an Indian frankenwatch!) Gold rectangle, 21st birthday present, Rotary and silver Seiko, my grandad's, white dial Sturmanskie bought of eBay, same as what Yuri Gagarin wore aboard Vostok 1!
Casio overflow:
The Naughty Box, all jarg as fuck:
"Casio Overflow" - I like that
What are the letters on the rehaut of that Astron Andi?
In a rush of blood to the head a couple of weeks ago, I bought a G-Shock model because I liked the idea of solar power and automatic radio-controlled time updates....... and I hate it. It's too heavy and too big for my puny wrist.

They tell you the radio link status I think. When you do something with the crown. It's probably in the manual...
Ah! Some of them are to set the year and month for the perpetual calendar.
So, so nice!
I’m currently wearing a Citizen Eco-Drive
When I have the money the next watch I would like to buy is something from Mondaine, with a white face.
Btw a couple months ago I ordered a NATO strap from https://www.ukwatchstrap.co.uk/index.html & would definitely recommend them although they don’t sell any metal bracelets.
Having said that don't discount Cartier's horological chops, they've done some amazing stuff like the watches with the movement entirely in the oscillating weight!
They didn’t, but they did have one of these and coincidentally I had exactly the price in my pocket, not a penny more or less.

It has been worn daily since, It’s my only watch, looks agreeable in most settings, is a pleasing size, thickness and not heavy. Currently accurate to 1 second per day.
I’m not a massive watch guy. Given unlimited funds, I’d probably stick with what I have
Another brand that has had some beautiful designs is Ebel .....they have long become undesirable and are a particularly good deal when bought secondhand .....the Classic Wave ,Voyager , 1911 and the Discovery are lovely looking watches
