I'm confused...is the Jaden still up for sale? It looks like it was withdrawn on eBay.

EDIT: Never mind, I see what happened now, having read page 2 properly.

Is the Atlas guitar from Thailand? Been on the lookout for one for a while

@n3p - I’m afraid I have no papers on where it was made - I bought from @prudd on the forum who may know. However as far as O am aware it is very hard to know with these guitars and I have had limited success in researching it
all I can say is it very high quality build and plays great - I had wiring checked and all now good. If I were to keep I would probably change pups to BKP or CreamT

Hi both, the Atlas was made in Thailand approximately around 2009, it is near impossible to date Atlas guitars, they didn't seem to have a proper serial number system. I have owned a fair few of them over the last 16 years and never had a bad one.

If i were you @n3p I would grab this, they are getting harder to find. I am seriously thinking about buying it back myself.

As an owner of another Atlas that Prudd used to own, I'm never selling mine, end of.

Thank you all for the help. As a Thai (dual) citizen I've been wanting one not just for patriotic reasons, but I've heard they're killer. Haven't even been able to find one in Bangkok, I think Mr. Rinton must have retired or worse.

If you don't decide to keep it then let me know. I'm not that far from Sevenoaks

Last I heard, which was years ago and that was from the chap who used to be their European outlet was that Mr R had heart problems and one of his sons/relatives were carrying on for him. But I have not seen any new ones appear.

I was looking back at saved pictures and it looks like I have owned 11 Atlas guitars since 2009 and I dont regret buying any of them. I do however in hindsight regret letting them go.

Someone please buy the Atlas before I'm tempted :3 . Have 2 custom builds by them from 2008 and they're amazing.

Rintr/Atlas have long ceased building ( about 15 years ? ), if i remember correctly Mr Rintr passed away and the sons never carried on with the business.    The reason they don't come up for sale very often is that there aren't that many about as they were only (as far as i know) sold at shows and had little promotion , just word of mouth .  And they really are a quality handmade guitar  (no cnc) so yes you do sometimes see little flaws in the paint/stain  which adds to the character and shows they were not made on a production line.    They are that good , those that have them keep hold of them  or like @prudd ; regret selling , i believe he has actually sold and bought the same ones back  ( orange semi ?) .

He did, and then sold it again but this time to me. So, I have the orange semi (Snarf snarf)
I've been looking for the blue one for a while too but haven't seen it pop up in the last few years.
