Low impeadance headphones needed

What's Hot
I’m looking for some advice on what headphones to buy.

They are for use with a digital piano (practice) the HiFi phones I am using struggle to give much volume, possibly because they are a high impedance type. Also they aren’t very comfortable for use over long periods of time. I have noticed that unlike HiFi applications, live music creates a very wide dynamic range which seem to give rise to distortion more readily than say cd playback.

so I am looking for headphones which have:

low impedance <100ohms
large ear cups, (due to big ears)
open back,
velour ear pads (for comfort)

one model which comes to mind are Beyerdynamic 990’s but I wondered whether you guys have a favourite?

    Shure SRH1540.

46ohm if I remember correctly, very comfy (alcantara ear pads) and they sound superb.

Thanks @Sporky they look the biz, £499 is a bit more expensive than I was planning but they do look nice.

I have some Sennehiser HD599SE that I like for this sort of thing. 50ohms so easy to drive, and I have a big head and they are comfy and go over my ears nicely.

    currently £149 on Amazon.

I love my Sennheiser Momentum 3 'phones. I had Momentum 2s but they died after many years, so I replaced with the 3s. The Momentum 4 is the current model, but I decided against those because of the way they don't fold up very small, but my son has them and likes them a lot - he wears them for hours on-end.

Thanks @fretmeister i have my eye on the HD560s my concern is that they peak at 250ohms which I’m worried might be a bit high.

Went with Sennheiser HD560s, seem to get good reviews, hope the keyboard can drive enough volts for sufficient volume (chatGPT says they will be fine with the ES920! LOL) , plus not too expensive and based on my past experience of the brand good support for spares, thank you everyone who contributed, appreciated

Beyerdynamic do the DT770 at 32Ω.
Widely available around the £120 mark

I have actually mixed on them - though I would use speakers to ensure the low end is accurate.

Sennheiser HD560s have arrived, the good is that they easily go loud enough, so there seems to be no issue with the piano feeding them, the cup around the ear is large enough for me! But the clamping force is a bit much for me. Hopefully they will ease off with time, either that or careful application of heat to the headband might help.

Open back was definitely the right option though, because despite the physical key sound break through, its really helpful to listen to a YouTube lesson without having to remove the headphones from my head.
