Supergrass inspired sounds this time. Sounds pretty cool. I absolutely do not need another fuzz, so of course I jumped right in & ordered one

Mine arrived today! It's really good, like the Boss FZ-1W it's a smooth/gentle sounding fuzz. Really easy to dial in & just works on any setting. Plus the flashing blue LEDs is super fun 

Going to go back & watch the launch video again to see some of the sounds I can get. In a nutshell, another awesome pedal from FLB.

Quite a good drive pedal, more in the style of a fuzzy distortion than a full on nasty fuzz.

It works well with buffered pedals and cleans up with guitar volume.

So I caved and bought one which might be the first time in a decade that I've bought a brand new pedal on release. 

Took a few weeks to arrive and so only had ten minutes with it but I like it a lot. I would definitely argue that its not really a fuzz pedal --- its a distortion pedal that is a bit raggedy really. For my tastes this is a good thing, I don't really get on with fuzzes. Intrigued as to what is under the hood, but definitely very happy with it.

I'd wager you already have a drive that fits the mould: a polite sounding Rat. But for the price, and for dual flashing LEDs I think you should help give the UK economy a little boost, as well as supporting a really cool small business.

I just popped it back on my board, going into edge of breakup bassman. If I push volume & gain max on my whiteface reissue rat it's near identical to the CBTF, although the latter has more bottom-end.

It's gonna stay on my board for a bit cos it really is brilliant. Just fuzzy enough to be a fuzz, it's got great note clarity/articulation (even when fuzz & volume are maxed out), and it's tight/punchy with palm muting.

Honestly I've only plugged it in for ten minutes, so I'm not going to compare it to anything yet. 

Maybe it does sound RATty, I'm basing my statement that it doesn't on the fact that I went off RATs whereas I rather like this!

Will dig my old RAT out again and compare at some point.

@UnclePsychosis I just did a bit of a/b testing with some fuzzes & this sounds almost identcal to my LovePedal mkiii. In fact, it sounds better- more cut through & a slightly nicer tone. That lovepedal killed off quite a few Tonebender mkiii/mkiv clones, so that's the FLB pedal will live from now on for me.

Admittedly I'm not a huge fan of the graphics, so I did some rapid surgery so less jarring when I see my board. I'll alternate between this & my sun face bart for classic fuzz sounds.
