No More Tears - fiddliest song as a guitarist?

I'm learning this for one of my bands, and - having never tried slide before - it's VERY fiddly.

Watched Zakk do a playthrough and the slide is on, off, on, off, on, off etc. - and that's ignoring getting the slide to sound 'right' and then nailing that solo.

Does anyone else play it live? Any advice?

my advice.. replace the slide with bends or actual fretted slides..  no one will care enough, too busy head banging and singing..  great tune..

I used to finger pick the piano interlude too..

We tried it last night for the first time, and I think it turned out pretty good. I use the slide for the intro riff (and the same riff after the solo), but don't use it for the rest of the song.
