    Thanks @roberty Now we have a confirmed date (and hopefully venue), perhaps time for us to develop the song discussion. In that connection I would be interested in playing on Queen Bitch again (guitar 1).

    Thought I'd suggest another couple of songs, obviously it's easy for me to suggest them as I don't have to learn how to play them so if there are no takers then that's totally fine:
    Are You Gonna Go My Way - Lenny Kravitz
    Catch The Sun - Doves

    I've added the suggestions to the list.

    I've played "Are You Gonna Go My Way", loads of times. Happy to do guitar or bass on that one.

    Hi all, did you play Rebel Yell at the last jam in the end? I'd love to have a crack at that one if possible?
    I'm always looking for interesting USA Hamers for sale.

    At the moment I'm looking for:

    * Hamer SS2 & T62
    * Music Man Luke 1

    Please drop me a message.

    It was played at the last jam.

    I've added it to the spreadsheet.

    Ah I see there’s a few new track suggestions - will start to look at which ones I can learn for next jam.

    I'm confused - the spreadsheet shows only seven or eight songs - have we scrapped the old schedule ?

    Or am I missing something...

    I'm just including the songs that people have suggested on the thread so far. Let me know if I've missed any.

    Feel free to suggest some from the old schedule. But it would be good to have a few new ones, to replace some of the old ones. That's provided the new ones (and their quantity) don't put too much of a burden on people like @mrkb, who end up having to play on every song.

    It's not a competition.

    Im happy to play on any of the ones Ive played before, but obviously we dont want to play all the same ones at each jam. Would be good to get a 20% new / 80% carry over/improved split. I can probably transcribe and learn about 5 new ones for each jam (if they get confirmed early enough)- depending on complexity. Of current suggestions only "Bark at the moon" seems outside my skillset - rest of current suggestions can be learned with enough practice.

    Ah, ok that makes sense.

    Given that the timings proved to be more difficult than originally thought; I would quite like to have another stab at "Hanging Around" and "The Passenger" - if anyone else wants to.

    Plus "Fortunate Son" again.

    And going out on a limb...."Space Oddity" ? I should be able to play the rhythm, but not sure about the solo...

    I'll add them to the list when I get time.

    Yes I think there might have been a bit of rhythmic displacement when we played The Passenger at the last jam. I've since had a listen to the original and it occurs to me that the rhythm reminds me of:

    (One) po-ta-to, (two) po-ta-to ...

    :)

    It's not a competition.

    I've updated the spreadsheet in the original post.

    I've listed Space Oddity as being in the key of C, because that seems to be the general concensus when I Google it. But that first verse sounds like it's at home on the Em to my ear. Maybe it's just me.

    sounds like we should remove Bark at the Moon from the list (no drummer)?

    of the other new tracks that have been suggested, just Space Oddity and Come Together (Gary Clark version) don't have a name down for vocals currently - any volunteers?

    Yeah it's ambiguous. The chorus has that big resolution from F to parallel Fm to C though

    One of the tracks we played at the Feb '24 jam was Lil' Devil by The Cult. We did not play the track at the last jam, and as @mrkb was on drums in Feb '24, we could include it again this time if there is enough interest in playing it (I would quite like to)?

    Added to the list. I've assumed you want to do 2nd guitar. Or do you want 1st guitar?
