Something for nothing - Fender Studio - If you know how to do it :)

Hello all, Fender just sent me this email for their Free studio downloads, windows 10, Linux, mac, mobile phone etc.

Looks good if your into that sort of thing, I did try to down load to my Linux pc but couldn't get the two download variants to work (I don't know what I'm doing - no change there).
I do have Linux software that runs Microsoft software, but I can't find a download link on the Microsoft webpage for this software. So I'm not having much luck, maybe you can do better.

You shouldn't need any Microsoft software, as it should run on Linux native. The two variants are based on the processor type, which in most cases would be the AMD64 choice. Clicking on that takes you to a download page, which would give you a 'fenderstudio.flatpak' file, which is just one of the many Linux archive formats. How you install that will then depend on which Linux distro you're using...

Ah ha' so arm64 means amd, why didn't they just name it amd! Typical Linux.

I used the Wharehouse software from the library to install the fenderstudio.flatpak, as I don't like the mad professor thing, typing mathematics in the terminal.

It's installed, but just will not run.

Anyone know where the download link is on the Microsoft page?

No mate, AMD64 means Intel or AMD processors, ARM64 means ARM processors which are far less common.

    Is this similar to Garageband?

    It is not a DAW.
No midi drums, no synths, no plugin support.

It is mostly a jamming tool.
