Here's a sales summary from Thomann, where I bought this one a few weeks ago.

• For passive pickups of acoustic guitars, violin, viola, cello, mandolin and similar instruments

• Power supply: 9 V block battery (not included)
  
• Battery life: up to 2000 hours
  
• Includes belt clip

And it does it beautifully. I've used this at home for about an hour before deciding to set my acoustic guitar rig up in a different way. It's no refection on the Mini Pre, just the result of a personal choice. I left it too late to return it to Thomann within the 30 day period, so here we are... 

The belt clip is fitted, there's a leaflet explaining how it works and that's it. It came from Thomann in bubble wrap and a plastic bag, there was never a box.
