For some reason seeing the "Roto Blues" and the talk of The Clash has got me singing a weird version of Protex Blue.

"Roto, Roto Blue, I don't wanna use you" may not have been the message that Rotosound were going for here, mind you :-D

Nice refresh.  I do use rotosounds from time to time.  Don't think I've ever needed to use the spare high e. Ok wouldn't mind if that disappeared and the price came down a like. I like that you are addressing the eco side, with recyclable and reduced packaging. It's a shame the steel is not UK made too, but it's not surprising.

Nice, I'd be torn between the pinks and oranges. Might do a quiz with my grandson who's getting good at colour names :)

I like the new packs. I’ve been meaning to re-try rotos, it’s been a few years.

Think I’d lose the reference to Floyd in the press pack though, doesn't Gilmour have a signature GHS set?

Like roto strings, not bothered about the packaging one bit. You could put them in a bin bag for all I care.

Well I have to say that some amongst us are not just content with looking a gift horse in the mouth, they're insisting its wisdom teeth are extracted and the rest have any plaque removed.

Rotosound must be wondering why the fuck they bothered.

I got an account with Rotosound's trade distributors a few years ago - and have been using them on demo guitars, any re-strings I do in the workshop, and most of my own guitars. They are lovely people - delivery is swift - prices are good. Strings are as good as other brands brands.
Not sure how hard you have to try ... but there are always some folks who talk out of their arses.

Big upgrade on the old designs, much sleeker. Fickle old me would be more likely to buy more often.. I would say looking at the pictures on my phone, the green looks quite yellow, could it be greener?

I prefer the old packaging  =) This is like when Marathon became Snickers all over again …

The worst was when Opal Fruits became Starburst.

I like the new packaging of the Roto strings though.

I'm not going to remember what blue or red means any better or worse than what mondo slinky or ultra slinky means.

Why is orange singular and all the rest are plural?
I hadn't noticed this before on the old packs and now I can't unsee it!

I use rotosounds and personally I prefer the old design, all the information was really clear on the front and I could almost read them without my glasses! This new design uses up all the key real estate with two words (Roto [colour]) which don't really mean anything.

The gauge-colour thing was already there in the old design. It’s a good idea, glad they’ve kept it.
My opinions in context: I rarely gig and don't play guitar for a living. I record my own music for a non-profit org's research and education videos. I have modified or built most of my equipment and I owe a big debt of gratitude to many people on this forum (you know who you are!).

Been using yellows for 20 years so I miss the lion, but the subsequent packaging colours have been much more bold.

Never do away with the extra high E! Helps beginners and clumsy folk like me.

Because if they were oranges, people might mistake them for fruit.
