Pedal rattle short story

Having been all Helix for a while now, I've been putting drives etc in front. A chance encounter with my old board reminded me how good my Thorpy Fat General was.

I took it off an noticed it rattling. Took it apart (nice work with the build and choice of solid 'screws' @ThorpyFX ) and found the rattle.

It takes a battery. I'd always thought it was PS only. With a battery it is so much more useable in the way I want as I want simple, no PS needed stuff.

It sounds just as excellent as I remember, great pedal. Oh, the rattle has gone now  :s

AHAHAHAHAH yeah the V1 enclosures had space for a battery, we've had this over the years quite a lot to the point where we ha d couple bounce back to us as faulty because of the rattle. turns out using higher quality solid battery connectors was a blessing and a curse. New V2 versions are all battery free now , but im glad you love the pedal.
