2006 Ibanez S470...............

Had a bad day at work and one of these is still unsold at one of the Budapest shops. Temptation is taking hold.

I have a 2016 S521 here I am playing now. I always liked Ibanez. The 2006 one I probably looked at and wanted in the shops at the time but I was "saving up". It has the fancy trem and seems to be factory condition. It is black but that is fine, I increasingly like understated guitars. Korean built.

They also have a Cort KX300 with EMGs....

Tell me off for looking.

Or maybe a pink Squier or Jet.....................

  • As others will say if you like the guitar and you have the money free to buy it then go for it I say. Especially if it was a guitar you wanted in the past. A recommendation though if you can try it before buying definitely do that.

As is so often the way.  That feeling of relief tinged with regret.

I have more or less decided however that I will take a day in Budapest and go and try stuff as I have not bought a guitar for years but I fancy something with a brighter finish as all mine are very boring!! I don't buy very often and I keep stuff for years.

One place actually stocks Harley Benton and I am curious. To see what they are actually like. Just the cheaper end as I always used to have at least one Squier as a "out on the rack" guitar and they always were decent. I regret selling my ancient Squier Standard Strat I kept for years............. I liked that guitar.TBH the budget guitars these days are probably better than a lot of the stuff I was using in the mid 2000s I spent decent money on.
