Bass Basics ?

I've been playing six strings (amateur) and bought myself a bass too. I'm struggling to find a bass basics tutor to follow.  I've stripped and rebuilt my bass and that's working fine.  My fingers though..... that's another story.  OK'ish with a plectrum for the plucking but the fingering hand (little finger) seems all over the place.  Any suggestions gratefully received. TIA

I bought Complete Fingerstyle Bass Technique (Fundament Changes) for exactly this reason. 
It's not a huge book to wade thru and covers the basics well.
I wanted to know the proper way to do fingerstyle on bass and this taught me the rules about alternating fingers and raking.
The left hand one finger per fret thing I already do on electric anyway so that translated to bass easily enough.

Have you had a look on YouTube? There's a few channels on there that should be able to help. Look up TalkingBass, BassBuzz and Scott's Bass Lessons.
