SOLD: Radioshop / Suhr HSS loaded pickguard
Tortoiseshell HSS Strat pickguard made for me by Radioshop Pickups, includes 2x Radioshop ID: Chris Buck singlecoils and a Suhr Asatobucker in the bridge. Also features treble bleed and blender mods (roll back second tone control to add the bridge pickup into whichever position you're playing in) and solderless installation - just need a screwdriver and some pliers/wirecutters and you’ll be off.
White pickup covers on the singlecoils and raw nickel on the humbucker. I don't have any control knobs for it currently, I’m afraid.
All the components are top notch quality (Switchcraft jack and really nice 5-way selector etc), the only thing that's notable is that there's some wear at the top of the pickguard where it meets the neck pocket. Basically, my Player Strat was slightly off spec in its measurements (routing error from the factory I guess) so I had to remove a little material from the front of the pickguard to get it installed. You can't see it once it's there though, as the overhang from the fretboard covers it up.
Being a solderless setup, you could very easily just unscrew the lot and put it on whatever pickguard you want without getting messy, so don’t be put off if tortoiseshell isn’t your thing!
Looking for £200 including postage. A setup like this would cost £445 from Radioshop with one of their own humbuckers.
Will add pictures as soon as I can but rest assured this has barely been used and is in great condition other than the wear to the neck join section I mentioned earlier. Would still love to use this in a future project but need to pay the bills so am selling what I can.
