    I recommended Fractal because he:

    1. Said he wanted the best quality
    2. Said he wanted modellers not captures
    3. Said he had £1500 to spend
    4. Said he wanted something easy to use. In my experience, as I stated above, it was easier to use than Helix.

I am answering his question. We might have different perspectives and that's cool. But my perspective is valid.

Going from the sublime (top end Fractal, Quad Cortex, Helix etc) to the utterly ridiculous I found this vid from Paul, Studio Rats on the Valeton GP5 (my wife got me one for my b'day last month).

Needless to say we're obviously not talking Fractal/Helix/Quad Cortex sophistication and top end tone quality, but I think it nicely demonstrates how the bar has been raised incredibly for even ultra cheap DSP gear that has evolved beyond anything though possible even 3-4 years ago. The stuff that this little pedal has squeezed inside it and the quality of tone for something that costs around £70-75 is just bonkers!

I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)
