Behringer 1273

I understand that the brand can cause outrage at the mention however I just picked up the 1273 mic pre and EQ. It’s great. I understand that there will be some differences in sound to the original Neve 1073. I’m not too concerned with that as I think this unit sounds great. 

I read some online reviews and apparently they were aiming at the Warm Audio 273, I haven’t got one of those but online reviews state Behringer did well.

I’m new to using an outboard mic pre and EQ and although I like the preamp in my SSL12 this is a marked difference. Recording a track I’m surprised how much separation there is between the different tracks. The EQ is really intuitive and a little goes a long long way. 

I’m really pleased with it.
