linode-hosted images don't display in-browser

@digitalscream ;

I'm guessing the linode-hosted images are the ones subscribers pay for that are hosted on tfb servers?

I notice that when I try to open one such image in another tab or click on a thumbnail, it doesn't display in my browser but prompts to download a file with a long hex name.

See, for example, the images in @ICBM's FS post here and the thumbnails in his .sig

Does this need a tweak to return the correct file type, or append an extension to the file name?

  • Just rename it with .jpg on the end and it should sort it.

  • No, it's a limitation of the way the Vanilla software uploads them - it's just buried so deep in the code that I can't even find it...I've set the content disposition for the uploads correctly everywhere, but it's just ignoring it anyway.

    I think the only option is to wait until the new software's in (it's coming, really...) and then reprocess everything that's been uploaded thus far, possibly even re-uploading them to a new bucket.

    Ok - not a major problem, and you're obvs aware of it.

    Thanks,
