Studio one 8 or Fender Studio Pro 8 has just launched

Have a v7: perpetual license, seemed to have gotten a free of charge upgrade.
Not sure if it was just bad luck but did have one hang, (lots of updates going on in the background).
Not explored much yet, seems they have brought the Fender modelling tech to the DAW though.

As long as it doesn't go the way of Cakewalk Sonar under Gibson's ownership then I will be happy. Just started using S1 7, quite enjoying it!

How are you guys getting on with this? I was thinking about continuing with Reaper but the amp modelling, effects and instruments in this new version might sway me in a different direction.

Its ok.  I was using studio one for years, and upgraded to this.  I would say its a bit resource hungry than the older versions.  

I've played a little bit with the amp modelling etc and it sounds pretty decent to me. A bit simpler to use than Helix Native.
