A recent acquisition to scratch a multiple-decade itch, but it was bought at the same time as a Strat which has *very* unexpectedly become the only thing I'm playing, so I thought I'd put it in the lap of the gods.

it's an original 1970 Japanese Yamaha SG-5A in Coral Red, with original case and strap. It's had a replacement output jack (Switchcraft) and the foam under the pickups replaced as it was all degraded and grim, but otherwise is all stock and in good working order. Patch of wear on the back and a few dings hear and there, but quite frankly, LOOK AT IT. Frets are low but in good working order; by all accounts they were always tiny anyway. Beautiful flamey maple neck, and good lord is it comfortable; one of the nicest neck profiles I've ever had. Got a bit of chunk IMO, but unmistakably vintage in feel. Very nice dark rosewood board too. The guitar weighs a nudge over 8lbs. Truss in good health, bridge and vibrato work really well due to stereotypical Japanese engineering.

Along with the original case, I have a brand new Gator case for it too which can also be included, for fans of carrying guitars in something a little more robust.

TRADES (with appropriate cash additions)

Let's see what there is. Pick from the following please:

Fender: Strats, Teles, Mustangs.

(Maybe) Gibson: SG's, LP Specials in TV Yellow

or

Im really jonesing for a Vox AC. either a 15 or a 30, heads or Combos considered.

Trade value is ~ £1100, but if you want to buy it outright, lets say £1000. Would infinitely prefer collection from Leicester or a meet up within reasonable distance tbh.
