Palir Guitars Titan C4 'Cabronita'-style T-type £1825 Swindon

KeefyKeefy Frets: 3328
edited April 1 in Guitars £

John Palir builds his guitars in the town of Sulfur, Louisiana. Bet you can't guess what the main industry is (or was)?

This is my second Titan, the first being a more traditional early 60s T-type. I've decided that's where my preference lies, so this one is up for sale. I think Fender came up with the Cabronita name to denote a Tele with Filter'Tron pickups, which are more often associated with Gretsch guitars. (The word Cabronita doesn't really make sense in Spanish, but hey ho.) This is a cracking example of the genre, with heavily relic'd sonic blue body, roasted maple neck, Porter'Tron pickups, and a genuine Bigsby B5 on a Vibramate mounting plate. The frets are big and fat, and the fretboard has been edge-relieved for comfort.

It comes in its original G&G hard case (full disclosure - this is somewhat discoloured - I think it may have been put away damp at some point by a previous owner) and is ready to play anything from country and rockabilly to harder, heavier material. I've actually performed jazz on it! Currently strung with Elixir 10s, which experience tells me should keep their sound for a good long time.

Looking for £1,825 collected or meet-up. I live in Swindon but I do travel around the country for gigs. By all means contact me with meet-up suggestions if you're interested.

Trades - I'm really trying to avoid accumulating even more guitars and basses, but it's worth waving small amps or interesting effects pedals at me.
