The same as mine after looking at some US made Jazzmasters, either go Custom Shop or look at their non-US stuff. The used market is also an option.

The standard US guitars used to be a reasonable option, but not so much nowadays. When I was looking at new Jazzmasters there wasn't a lot of retail stock available. £2.3k was the RSP.

Again not subscribing to the clickbait, but today the only way to judge a guitar is to play it. The long standing prejudice that American is best has been thoroughly blown apart by the rest of the world. However in the end, it comes down to what you can afford or what your prepared to pay .

The general consensus I believe is its bollocks, unless you agree with it then it's the truth (or post truth I get confused).

Surely we shouldn’t be buying UK made guitar related thingys either then?

Given that we’re supplying weapons, aircraft parts and airfields?

I mean, stones/glass houses.. etc.

If people are saying they won't buy American because of Trump, they need to remember only 32% of Americans voted for him. It's some assumption that the person you're buying from is a gun toting red necked Republican (if you have an issue with that).
There are some great small builders and family businesses who deserve support.
