Well the Future of the Left pedals are on their way to the band. Hoping to do more projects like this for bands and labels in the future.

I collected the new batch of enclosures for the perennial best-seller the Green Russian today. Much prefer the toned-down olive green of the new lot!

Here's a great blog post profiling a selection of Fredric Effects pedals. Featuring the infamous Pocket Weasel, our two Harmonic Percolators variants and Klones.

Been playing a lot with the Mutant Fuzz today which I've borrowed off a mate. Can you explain a bit more about what the tone switch does? I definitely prefer it in the "down" position.

This switches the input capacitor for one with a much larger value. This lets more bass frequencies through, so it sounds more doomy. If you want to take the tinkering a step further, there's an internal trimpot to set the bias of the second transistor, so you can get even more gain (at the expense of noise) or fizzy, gated 60s fuzz.

I think the Future of the Left Stompenboxen pedals are arriving with those who ordered them now, so it's safe to share a pic of the finished item. Here's all fifty of them getting tested.

Der Stompenboxen is possibly the best-named pedal ever. What does it do?

Ha! Well you can thank Falco from the band for the name. I worked almost entirely with Julia on this one, as she's a long-time Fredric Effects user. They're mainly the Green Russian Big Muff that Julia uses on bass. Then the second channel is a choice of two one-knob fuzzes - a modified Bazz Fuss which is super simple, but makes a lovely doomy growl - and a waspy fuzz loosely based on the Shin Ei FY-2 at its trebliest setting. So, in short: lots of fuzz.

This looks like another Stompenboxen, but it's actually a prototype dual Harmonic Percolator! Featuring one cleaner-sounding silicon percolator, without the clipping stage, followed by our improved HP circuit, the Utility Perkolator which has germanium or silicon clipping for full-on raspy fuzz! I used a reject Stompenboxen enclosure- this one has a tiny hole in the corner welding.
