At the battle of Trafalgar the French and English fleets are watching each other to see who would make the first move. Suddenly the lookout in the English ship's crow's nest yells "they are signalling with flags. They are about to attack!"

"What do the flags say?" asks the captain.

"They say: To the water. It is the hour!"

So the English prepare for battle but the French ships don't move. So the captain looks through his telescope and sees the French sailors all laughing and waving and shouting out the flags' message:

"À l'eau. C'est l'heure"

...which sounds like "Hello Sailor".
