Why does Steve Cradock get on my tits?

I'm just watching Paul Weller at Glastonbury and I'm quite enjoying it - the best I've seen from him for a while but... Steve Cradock just gets on my tits.

I can't rationally explain why. Can anybody else help me out?

Before anybody mentions it - and no it"s not because he's got a better Lambretta than me!

Don't let him - it counts as harassment

    His really terrible haircut?

I quite like him to be honest.  He certainly makes Weller a lot more listenable as far as I'm concerned.

He always looks like he's borrowed his suit off someone one size larger.

Nope can't agree - I think he's a great player and who wouldn't have wanted to write the Riverboat Song riff(s)? So simple yet catchy.

Fair play to him as well - he's managed to play in his hero's band for twenty years.

Wis for Steve. Hundred Mile High City was another great riff.

A great player, unashamedly Steve Marriot-esque which is never a bad thing

I really like his playing, and Mosely Shoals is one of my favourite albums of all time, even though nothing they done after it interested me.

OCS were one of the first bands that got me into play guitar.  Mosely Shoals is great and Marchin' Already is good too.  Not keen on the rest of their stuff, although One from the Modern has it's moments (July) as does Mechanical Wonder (Up on the downside).  Kind of lost interest after that though.

Here's a great clip of him falling on his arse whilst doing a guest spot with my mates' band "The Whodlums"

He borrowed my Nash Tele last year when we were in the same studio.

Seemed like an okay bloke to me. Bit of a drinker, but most guitarists I meet are.

    Very funny!

Note how reserved he is afterwards...

Poor bastard - mind you he was probably shitfaced to even think about trying that move!

@paulads I take it that was the band's guitar he borrowed? Any damage?

Yeah...it was Pete (the guitarists) fireglow 360...the fall/fail only cracked the scratch plate, as I recall...I think the shoes he was wearing were borrowed too...from Fyffes :-)

Did a gig with OCS years ago ( before they were famous) and they were all really good blokes, unlike a lot of the tossers who we bumped into in those days, so more power to him I say.

    I know his uncle.
And you know what else? Those safety lids on bottles of sanatogen. There I am trying to get the lid off and along comes my six year old and says "there you are daddy" and it's off in a Jiffy. Someone's gonna get hurt.
