I met Johnny Ball when I was a kid (and oh no he di'int).  After Rolf I don't reckon I could take it if ended up lynched from the yew tree.

As for Roy Harper I never got around to reading his book 'Fingering Technique For Kids', but might give it a miss.

IIRC someone on the old MR forum hinted at something related to Roy Harper - I did a quick google at the time but never found any hint of a suggestion of a rumour, maybe whoever it was who posted it actually knew something . . .
