What's a good 'verb for not much money?

I've got about £50-60 to splash on a reverb, sh is cool, I'm looking for more ambient than retro.
I gave a nice Spring reverb in my amp, but want a 'special effect' reverb rather than an always on sound.
Cheers

The 'church' setting on the DigiTech digiverb is huge and good for ambient stuff. Cheap too. I bought a Hardwire reverb to upgrade my old digiverb but ended up keeping both as the Hardwire couldn't replace that church setting.

What's the Polara like? Looks good too.
And if I wait a bit £120 is not unreasonable if I sell a few unused pedals.

You could probably pick up a used Line 6 M5 for that kind of money.

I play guitar and take photos of stuff. I also like beans on toast.

You might get a Boss RV-5 for that in less than perfect condition. The Spring - more over the top than a real spring, if you want it to be, so you can use your amp for background reverb and turn on the pedal for that 'splash' sound - and Modulate settings are good for special effects, and the others are nice ambient reverbs.

TC Trinity 2? I've got one, does the ambient stuff very well....and has toneprint to add on new sounds. Might get one for your budget

If you want the ambient/ interesting stuff I'd certainly be looking first at the other Digitech stuff.

I always recommend the standard Hardwire to people for a good no frills verb, and the modulated and gated sounds are fine, but there are no other real surprises or left turns. Don't they do the Supernatural pedal?

I liked the Trinity 2, but you won't pick one up in budget. You might get a Dr Green Cubicle, or the Beringer Line 6 verbzilla clone ...

I'd save up and get a Trinity 2 or Polara.

The newer Zoom stuff is mostly excellent.

Although I'd still go with Boss personally.

A friend of mine is selling a Juansolo reverb pedal. I have one too and I think they are brilliant.

I think he wants £40 for it which is a total bargain as mine hasn't been off my board since I got mine a year ago.

    That's a cool name.
    What is it?
    I may be very interested.

Just looked them up, I'm no nearer to understanding what any of them sound like.

Though sadly that one appears to be a compressor...

If it's a tenebrion reverb at £40 then bite his arm off. Seriously. The circuit sounds excellent and Juans build quality is ridiculous.

I have a suspicion if I look on the back of the pedal I'm going to be very disappointed.
