Have you ever been arrested?

What's Hot

I've never been arrested- despite making some questionable choices at times in my life.

Who here will admit to being arrested or even sent down for a spell?
This could be the shortest thread in forum history.

I don't think that is actually possible unless you had sex with her stoma.
    She has bowel cancer, remember.

    Nope.
    I never got caught.

I don't think I ever did anything really naughty though.

  • I avoided arrest after I broke into the local police station and stole all their toilet seats

The police issued a statement saying they had nothing to go on...

...so I got away with it.

  • No. I can think of plenty of situations where getting arrested wouldn't make me ashamed, and sometimes I think perhaps the odd arrest shows you are living a life in the right way, full of gusto etc. I almost got fined for no tax, car registered at wrong address and driving license with the wrong address, all in the same 5 minute spell, but I guess the guy didn't like paperwork. Rock and roll.

  • No. I've had jobs that required a clean DBS and higher level checks where even arrests turn up. MrsTheWeary has to have a clean DBS as well so we've been a very law abiding family.
Although I have been to police stations, police cells, courts, prisons, etc, so I know what it all looks, sounds and smells ( bleach mostly) like. Even as a visitor it's a fairly glum set of experiences.

I once had to report my phone missing for insurance purposes. I went to the station and spoke to a PC Crook. True story.

  • I probably could have been in Austria but a combination of hiding and running at the right moments helped me out of that I think. I was at a (perfectly tame) party in an old disused factory near Gasometer in Vienna when I lived there, they were powering the DJ kit with some kind of bizarre generator, lots of glow sticks, you know the kind of thing.

I was terrified when Der Polizei turned up so ran upstairs with my Lady, whilst others ran the other way and I think got stopped, we hid in a small office and waited until we could hear no voices and then legged it like maniacs until we were away.

Remember it vividly as I was bloody terrified

    Yep, once.

I had been working in a pub in Hammersmith for a few months, and had recently applied for my License. One lunchtime, the Police came in looking for me, arrested me, and took me to the local station where I sat in a cell for a couple of hours.

When I moved to London, I left my car parked up in another pubs car park ( I had permission from the landlord as he was a friend of mine). It turns out that one night, the car was stolen and was involved in several hit and run style crashes into parked cars and then abandoned. My friend apparently didn't even realise the car was missing as it had been parked around the back of the pub (deliberately out of the way).

To make matters worse, I left home at the same time my Parents split up. My Mum had gone a week after me, and my Dad moved into a one bed flat very soon after, so when the Police went to my address there wasn't anyone there. Part of the licensing process involves a Police check, so as soon as my application went in my name was flagged in the system.

Not a pleasant experience being handcuffed and stuffed into the back of a Police car. Thankfully its never happened since.
