If I had a two amp setup I'd give it a punt, issue is, what does it sound like into a mono rig?
Also the Keeley is meant to evoke old ADT techniques that didnt really sound like doubling, this seems like its actually trying to make a modern attempt at authentic doubling.
The stereo field changes massively
I agree that there is a difference in the clip with the hairy dude playing metal riffs but that's a studio recording and an affect that can be replicated easily with plugins during mixing. Why would you limit yourself by recording a stereo track in the first place? it can really give you issues at mix down so I would prefer mono guitar tracks and add doubling effects as and if required at the mix.
I think you should apologise.
