Ok, this is a rare beast.

Dropped to £720 for you clowns- not trades, not a penny off. Otherwise going on eBay.

Created from an original Fender donor guitar by The Painted Player, these retail for £1800.

Specs here http://www.thepaintedplayer.co.uk/rs---1.html

The attention to detail is supreme, This is from a 62 RI RI Tele.

It is a powerhouse- like easily the most powerful guitar in my collection which includes 3 Custom Shop Gibbos.

Features include:

Onboard TS9-alike distortion circuit; locking sprezel tuners; SD HB with coil tap and phase.

I went for a mildly reliced one as opposed to the full monty

Poss trade for P90 high quality LP Special.. Inbox any questions.

  • Very nice, and a real bargain considering the price of the Fender CS Summers Tribute (if you can find one).

Those Armadillo brass bridges are great bits of hardware.  I bought one for a parts Tele I built a few years back, and they're very well engineered...they do contribute to a great thick bridge tone, with a smidge of residual twang.

Is it too gnarly for cleans or can it handle that well and is it just the circuit boost that makes it powerful?

Cos, bit of both. The trick to using the onboard is less is more.

Yeah it does the bridge honk brilliantly, but, as we are one community, you won't get the neck tones that you will from a single coil (prob a good thing- I much nrefer a neck hb)

Neck is classic c with rolled edges.

Really delightful neck, superlow action for a tele.

Weight- not super heavy but not superlight either- it's got a lot of hardware in it- brass bridge and the circuitry.

  • Just noticed the bridge pickup is screwed into the body, rather than mounted to the bridge plate.  Nice attention to detail right there!

Yeah, sorry, was pointing out the "proper-ness" of it, and not highlighting a boo-boo!

  • I'll give you 950 for your hiwatt ;-)
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
