Thought it would make a cool thread if peeps posted up pics of their Rickenbackers for some gratuitous guitar porn to drool over.
This is my 330 in walnut burst bought new earlier this year.
It's the third 330 I've owned, one for '77 and the other mid '80's all surprisingly different. Both were JetGlo, but i prefer to see come wood grain these days

'89 381V69, with 'modern' hardware. It's also been refretted with bigger fretwire and the board stripped, and knocked about quite a bit (before I got it).

'73 4001, with a 1980s Rick HB2 neck pickup and a Kent Armstrong humbucking bridge pickup.

Both have "vintage to modern" tone cap controls for the bridge pickup, which I fitted.

    Lovely.

Although I have nothing to add unfortunately :( there is a unique beauty to Ricky design. 360's are my fave.

Looking forward to seeing some more.

Got to get me one of these again. I miss my old 330s. Anyone ever see a 360wb? That one I really fancy

Super cool - a chap I knew a few years ago had one. OK, I know it's really just a 330 with binding and neck inlays...

Not, technically a WB, but the same shape! Got this over twenty years ago, and it's not going anywhere

Wow! That's quite a collection. I'm basically happy with my pair of 360s, but the 381/12-V69 is the one other RIc that does tempt me! Fortunately they're pretty rare!

I've only got a Jim Harley '330' from 1994. It's a cracking copy mind, you can see why Monsieur Holmes go so upset with them!

The 381/12 V69 is a lovely guitar - almost a piece of artwork - but being carved from a solid chunk of maple means it is heavy! I find it easier to play than the 620/12 and it's also much prettier! The 620 certainly isn't the best looking Ricky!

    and yet if I had to pick one, I'd have a 6 string 620 over a 381/V69 (and a 330 over a 360, I don't like the softer body shape)

Is the 381 much deeper than the 360? I assumed it would be deeper, but with a bigger chamber inside, so that it wouldn't actually have that much more wood.

Mind you, my 360/12 is quite a bit heavier than my 360/6. I'm not sure if that's due to extra structural wood to cope with 12 strings, or because the 12 is the old-style shape (more 330 like) whereas the 6 is the newer rounded style.
