I just saw the prices on a local site to me. 49.95 chf thats about 40 GBP

Ah so it looks like these are the TC Branded Behringer influence pedals.

That makes them a bit more interesting.
...and it means I won the Discussion?  :3

You did. And in the spirit of 'he who's birthday it is buys the cakes', you can buy us all the entire range each. Awesome and congrats ;-)

  • I was going to type my disappointment but if they are all going to be sub £50 then I understand where they are going with it.

There's also a fuzz, a boost and a vibrato. They've gone all out on this one. As mentioned before though, those top jacks would be great for pedal boards, as well as the prices.

OK, the Vibrato has got my attention...

  • I think I'll give them a hard pass.

They are marketing them as budget, i.e. more basic than their main range - but their main range is very good value for money anyway! They just strike me as generic pedals badged up with TC electronic, same with the recent Fender pedals.

Of course, if they start doing a crazy deal for them as they have in the past (3 for 2 on minis, free corona chorus with the bass amp, that sort of thing) then I might change my tune and try them out...

And the results are in from the Danish delegate... 13 new pedals. If these are all sub-£50 they'll sell loads. Agree with Drew that the phaser sounds great. Not really interested in the rest for myself but none sound bad, especially at that price. And who knows - if these have basic mechanical switches they might even be reliable?

  • This is the one I quite like:

Riff recorder, I'm forever recording stuff on my phone then forgetting about it, although if it's iPhone only, I'm out.

I like the Vibrato option, and could be tempted by a tremolo too, especially at £50 a pop.

Do they sound as good as the more expensive ones? I realise there's the tone print stuff but just curious.

  • I can't say that I have been blown away by any of them. i like the design, they just don't sound BAD (if you take out the overdrive) just not great. but then again, they are only going to cost 50 groats.

I think these will do particularly well in the entry level market and the people who just want to try out an effect and not spend hods of cash on it.

I wonder whats in the guts of them and whether it is the old Behringer pedals in a nice box.

Exactly. At that end of the market it's mostly not people like us. It's guys going to their local shop and going "i fancy a chorus pedal" and buying whatever's in stock that doesn't sound shit. And kids for birthday & xmas presents, probably. I think they'll do well assuming they're not snow under with warranty repairs..

I'm gonna check out the reverb pedal later on. I could do with a cheap reverb pedal.

Thing is I could never be bothered with the tone print before when I had a flashback. I would have rather had a standalone tap tempo switch. proof is in the pudding though. I predict two for sixty five quid by Christmas or New year's sales.
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

We thought they might be, so we got in touch and they confirmed the actual process.

  • Have to be honest, the Flanger and Metal pedal got me interested, as did the phaser.
