Just to add to the confusion . . .

Reading the post, that one has a serial on the neck plate and it turns out my one does too I just hadn't noticed it.
That one is 01791 and my one is 01794.
Do others put serials on the neck plate?

Don't know if any of you can decipher those codes but might be of interest to some.
Found a tasty pickup too and gave it its own thread here...
I've only found a couple online and they are all different - Floyds, set necks, one pickup, two pickups etc.
The one I had (it got collected by its owner tonight) was a bolt-on with vintage trem and had two humbuckers, one a zebra Seymour Duncan JB.
Yours is a right mix-up! Mint headstock, white/cream body, single humbucker... and still a 6246.
I saw somewhere that they may have only done a run of 2000 on the M-1.
Makes a change from trying to date girls, I guess.
At least with a guitar you can pull the g-string without risk of getting slapped in the face. Oh, but since you had no success, don't tell me the ESP gave you the bird. Did you wring it's neck or something?
