A good choice.
I was going to ask, if you like both that much why not thin out pedals, if you've got any? Or maybe trade your amp for a smaller, more basic model?
Although those things are good for tone, there is nothing more important than enjoying the instrument you're playing. Those epis can be excellent!
Words used to describe Jackson: phenomenal, amazing.
decision made.
Asking us isn't really going to help you because we each have our preferences. I hate Jacksons, don't play metal, prefer more traditional guitars, & love my Sherry. Others here will be a complete opposite.
So, ask yourself:
Answer those questions honestly, and you'll have your answer. What we think is irrelevant.
BTW surprised that you're having problems with the Sheraton machine-heads. Those on my 89 are excellent. Its not expensive to change them, but have you tried adjusting the screws to increase/reduce tightness as you need and putting some graphite (pencil lead) in the nut slots to lubricate string friction and improve tuning accuracy?
The reason I asked is because they can both do what I play well and both sound really good (the jackson just pips it tho) so they both have very viable merits
Glad you decided you can keep both. That's the optimal solution around here...
Even though it sounds like you prefer the Jackson, the variety is always nice to have...
