So around a year ago I was browsing Ebay and I came across this Barncaster body which is supposedly made from the wood of an actual barn in Ohio.
I thought it looked great, plus it was very cheap, so I instantly bought it. Unfortunately I had a DIY accident shortly after buying this which left me unable to use my left hand for a few months, so I had to sideline the build (and guitar playing) for a while.
I completely forgot about this project until this week when I was grabbing a case for a different guitar and found this body in it. Since I'm all healed now and can use tools again, I decided to finally put this together:
I can't remember what wood the body is made out of. Neck is a Warmoth rosewood neck. Pickups are some Fender Custom Shop pickups I had lying around.
Surprisingly it kinda sounds like a Thinline Tele. I hope to do some demo vids this weekend.

It's seriously nice tho....!
If that was mine I would tell everybody that it is made from a 100 year old Barn Door.
In fact it is amazing how many people pick up the phone and ring Fender when the Barn Door they were thinking of selling is exactly 99 years old.
