I love blocks and binding
Instagram
I'd have prefer to get an unfinished neck or a nitro one. But the bound block inlay necks are a little bit more rare. I didn't fancy waiting for one to come up.
* NOS 60s witchhat knobs
* WD pickup covers - which are slightly the wrong size
* Cheapest 'tortoiseshell' scratchplate I could find on eBay - actually perfectly ok
* 500k CTS pots
* 22nF metal film capacitor
* switchcraft jack
* switchcraft switch
next will be fitting the bridge which I'm a bit anxious about
I won't fit the rhythm circuit to this.
Fitted the bridge last night - a TonePros TOM. Took it slowly, it went pretty well.
The TOM is for a 12" radius and the neck is 9.5" so the outer strings are noticeably higher. I may file the saddles. Undecided about that yet.
And there we go!
Kind of an unusual arrangement there with the hardtail plate.
