And both Leicester and Leeds are within reach, so Leeds is probably a bit south for north, thanus..
Plus.. it's Leeds!
Of course...Huddersfield (my second home!) is right smack in between the two and about as central as it gets
My Trading Feedback | You Bring The Band
Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after youIf anyone does want to come from the South-West proper (Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset), Swindon is definitely easier to get to than Oxford. It would also be easier for anyone who wants to come from South Wales as it's straight along the M4. Someone coming from Kent/Sussex wouldn't have to spend as long on the M25 either which has got to be a good thing.
It's also likely to be significantly cheaper than Oxford.
I'm in York, and these places are definitely in the North (saying that as someone who grew up down in Bournemouth ;-) )

Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after youI actually did my main teaching practice in a small town called Cleckheaton that is about 13 miles West of Leeds on the M62. Somewhere like that might be a decent compromise for those in cars. Public transport was rubbish though.

3 hours including an eighty quid ferry crossing.......Swinedon appears well served by major roads
I live in London now, so further East would be more convenient for me, but I think somewhere reasonably central along the M4 would be the best option. If you go further East you will lose people from the SW and from South Wales.
How many of us from north of the border are interested?
Newcastle is a bit of a pain to get too from the north. Would somewhere around Carlisle/cumbria work?
Bloody southern shandy drinkers who think the north starts at Watford gap.
