Hi,
I'm off to this today. Anyone else a member and going?
Sounds very well-organised and my mate who's attended before said they're great, informative, friendly, fun days where people bring their rigs and you can try stuff, sell stuff and there's guest speakers (I think they had Herbie Flowers last year and this year it's the guy from Uriah Heep - Davey Rimmer). There's a jam room with a drummer, a luthier on hand, refreshments etc
Looks like there's over 50 attendees bringing rigs and possibly more people coming.
Seems like a good format and it's a tenner a head.
Can't wait to try some Spectors and Aguilars.
Comments
It was a really enjoyable day with a great, friendly bunch.
Schools or somewhere with multiple rooms seem to be a good place for these sort of things.
I now want a Spector bass!
Someone commented that everybody seemed to be very open and getting on; folks playing others basses and trying out amps.
Just the right number of people there, space to do things, not too loud.
I couldn't fault it.
(And I won a pedal in the raffle!)
I won a guitar strap and there were some good prizes on offer. Last year, there was a Barefaced cab in raffle.
I now feel as if I'm serving 2 mistresses, both in terms of forums and instruments!
Oh, and you're all bloody traitors!
