Spur of the moment before I had a chance to think about it and bail! I'm usually too nervous to do these things but decided what the hell today.
There's snow and ice up my way and the gritters were out this afternoon which means one thing... winter is coming. So with that in mind I popped in to the local Starbucks Open Mic this evening and did my take on the Game of Thrones theme. Cool, right?
Well, I fluffed a couple of bits but it went ok, however nobody in the place had seen GoT so only one person recognised it. Everyone else was wondering what this strange tune was and why I didn't bother singing!!
Bother.

Ok I watched 5 minutes once but can't remember the tune and may have had a cup of tea at one at a motorway services?
Looks like you have a couple of options. One, go to every one and do the same song, hey Monica, it's the kooky 'Guitar of Thrones' guy, or two, learn that The Rembrants song.
Well done and good luck.

When I got there there were a quite a few nerds in the audience so I thought 'yeah, they're gonna love this' but by the time my slot came up they had left! Typical.
It was lost on the crowd I played to.
