Wolverine and Bambi, together they cleaned up the city and at night shared a hotel room
"While Congress may not be able to make copyright perpetual, it could make the terms so long that copyright might as well last forever. If this is allowed to happen, millions of works that should be freely available for use by current and future generations of scholars, artists, and the just plain intellectually curious will remain hidden in the shadow of copyright – inaccessible and all but invisible."

"Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone." - Walt Kowalski
"Only two things are infinite - the universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein
Didn't that already happen?
Technically, sort of kind of yes. X-Men Origins: Wolverine had a character in it called Wade Wilson who was a mercenary with a smart mouth and a sword, played by Ryan Reynolds. At the end of the film, he's turned in to a super-mutant thing with powers taken from other characters called Deadpool, but that character is so far removed from the comic book character, or the most recent film representation that there are reports that comic book fanboys actually died of outrage during screenings. The film is shit too.

Whether Disney is prepared to keep funding a loss making news provider is questionable. It would be a shame if the BBC was left as the only UK 24/7 news provider.
In some respects it's surprising that Disney didn't insist on Fox News as part of the deal. Some of Murdoch's best fantasy/fiction writers and comic book characters are based there.
