(possibly the keys, which are allegedly slightly smaller than regular)
If you don't mind buying used, there are a squillion more capable MIDI controllers on Ebay/etc. Some are more DAW-friendly than the Keystep, with sliders and knobs for mixing and controlling soft synths.
Thanks guys.
Just the keys to play the notes, if that makes sense. I don't need anything to trigger samples or stuff like that.At the time of this writing, I am very taken with the KORG ARP Odyssey plug-in software synthesizer. I like the fact that I can meddle with its filter cut off and resonance parameters, in real time, from the front panel sliders of my elderly Roland XP80 workstation.
Hammond organ plug-ins become far more convincing when the drawbar settings can be changed during performance. This requires eight slider controls.
I could go on.
